Volta weighed 489kgfor the month of July. Team Joyce has noticed weight gain is slowing down . He was 477kg in June and now 489kg in July so he has put on13kg .

“We have a new diet for Volta at 18 months . As he is being boxed most of the time now, the diet contains only hay as a forage source. Relatively constant access to hay is important to avoid digestive conditions such as gastric ulcers and hindgut acidosis. Because he is no longer in the critical growth stage, and he is in such good condition, Luisa has also recommended decreasing the amount of Breed N Grow he is receiving slightly and taking out the Equi-Jewel. However, it is important to monitor his body condition and recommended reintroducing the Equi-Jewel at between 200g and 600g if he drops too much condition.”
