Johnny won Amatuer class

Team Joyce had a lovely weekend at Boneo Park 8th-10th September. The highlight hands down was Tiffany & LH Johnny having a great time in the Amateur section which started on the Saturday. This worked into her schedule nicely due to work commitments. It was brilliant to come away at the end of the Saturday chatting in the truck discussing how Johnny won Amateur class. This was their first time entering in this section.

Wes and I arrived on the Thursday afternoon attending the Horseland Mornington VIP night starting at 6pm. Tiffany arrived a little later. Team Joyce enjoyed meeting greeting all the customers shopping for a bargain. Everyone could obtain 25% off 1 item in store. It was definitely a success as the staff were flat out serving as we were chatting ! People could also enjoy the free refreshments while shopping. Horseland Mornington often hold many special nights during the year so LIKE their Facebook Page and follow the news and be apart of the action.

The Amateur class started at 1.15m a good safe comfortable height for Tiffany and Johnny, as you all know not being able to ride during the week means riding within your means. We try and sit down discuss options and choose doable classes to suit circumstances. Wes keeps LH Johnny ticking over, he has always had a good brain so fitness is the only extra needed to cope with the courses.

Tiffany decided to wear her new Horsleand BLACK outfit – Dublin helmet & ears

It is always nice to place but to win was a shock. Wes advised Tiffany to go steady and not to quick keep your horse under you and ride for good lines with impulsion. We think she executed this perfectly. But to win the class was cream on the cake. The Boneo Park rosettes are stunning, “One to put on your Johnny shrine “, I said to Tiffany.

Shocked we could drive out

One last thing I have to share. On arrival as you all may think back to this particular weekend it was wet windy and cold. Our designated truck park was muddy and pooled with water. Wes drove straight in hoping we could get out on Sunday.

We thought we were bogged

Boneo Park have a tractor on hand to pull everyone out. They were flat out all weekend. Wes hoped into the Beast pushed the Diff Lock button and drove out! His laugh could be heard a mile’ I was clapping. We have only ever used this option one other time in over 20 years. Who would think the ol faithful is so reliable.

What an inseparable pair

The bond Tiffany has formed with Johnny shows every time they meet. He remembers her its so eerie. Horses are so so clever they know who loves them and they trust in you. It can be seen here.
