Well where do I start with a story on Dandenong Agricultural show. The jumping oval , surface were fabulous” to say the least. We had power, water and were close to the arena so walking to and from the course was so easy for all. The committee had done a wonderful job in trying to make sure all the competitors were comfortable. Team Joyce took LH Beckham and LH King Arthur and as you can see from the picture above they were very relaxed beside the truck in their yards. On Saturday morning Wes jumped LH King Arthur in the D Grade and he was very happy with his round and had one rail.
Then we entered LH Beckham in the 1.20m Open and the 1.25m he to had 1 rail in each but also jumped very well. Last class of the day was the C & D Grade and LH King Arthur placed 6th.
On the Sunday LH Beckham jumped 2 super rounds in the Victorian Country Showjumping Championships class which was set at a solid starting height of 1.30m and the jump off was at 1.40m in height with 1.50m spreads in the oxers. The pair placed 3rd and it was a pleasure to have Russell Johnstone 1st and 2nd on his two well performed champions making him the Victorian Country Champion for 2012. Well done Russell.
So all in all what a magnificent weekend and we cannot wait to go back in 2013. Thanks must go to all the organizers and volunteers.
