Sale Ag show

Team Joyce attended the Sale Agricultural Show on the 1st & 2nd November. We left on the Thursday afternoon with LH King Arthur, LH Beckham and for the first time LH Pugsly. The weather was not so kind at all, the rain teamed down all morning and the wind howled. We could not believe how much water flooded the ground in a few hours. As we came closer to Sale the rain eased but the wind seemed to get stronger. We put our 3 horses in the yards and tied down the buckets as we knew they would blow away in no time.

LH Pugsly head, LH King Arthur saddled & LH Beckham on the end.

On the Friday morning the wind had disappeared and the sun tried to shine. It was good weather for horsing around, no flies and no real hot sun. Saturday was even better, just a little warmer .LH Pugsly was first to go in his very first class which was the 90cm. There was so much to see and hear around him from all the excitement and atmosphere an Agricultural show brings but Wes just coaxed him around and he did it with ease.

Then over the next 2 days Wes jumped LH King Arthur in the C & D Grade , 1.30m and C & D Championship and LH Beckham in the 1.30m and 1.35m ,it was a show filled with no placings for any of our horses just good jumping rounds and other riders had  better horses on the day claiming all the prizes. Wes was happy with all his rounds and came home happy with all 3 of them. We look forward to Dandenong Ag show next weekend.

Our truck parked at Sale. The facilities provided are fantastic which made our stay very comfortable. Sale Ag people/volunteers were so helpful and keen to make sure everyone was happy. Power, toilets , water and yards for the horses what more could a competitor ask for!

Wes on LH King Arthur walking to the jumping ring, so wonderful to see all the hacking classes full of ponies and hacks having a great day out.
