Team Joyce are thrilled with how our rising 4yo Diamant de Semilly / Askari stallion Cera Ducati behaved today. He loaded easily an did not freak out when off loading at Treehaven Equestrian Centre in Somerville. Wes & I have waited for 3 years to finally be able to start our young performance stallion. He is an absolute cracker just like our Oaks Volta.
Team Joyce are thrilled to have two very nice performance stallions
Yes we have a long way to go yet but when you finally get to the stage where you can poke them along steadily in and out of work you start to see light at the end of the tunnel. It was a huge gamble purchasing them at such a young age then hoping they become great showjumpers. Wes has produced many top level performance showjumpers. I am in awe of what skills he has to keep on producing them himself.
Have a look at how much talent our Handsome has at such a young age
We only completed one round and it is what you see in the video above. It is all Handsome needed. To see a nice relaxed canter with many flowing flying changes balancing himself smoothly around the corners is what Wes has been working on at home. Oaks Volta can be quite observant with things in and out of the arena. Cera Ducati was not fazed by anything in out or on the arena today. Therefore you call it a day. Wes casually walked back to the truck loaded our champion and drove home.
Team Joyce wish to THANK ‘ Lever Equestrian for running the day. This is exactly what we needed to start our young stallion. A Freshmans training day. Because Handsome is a rising 4yo we are unable to practise at shows holding small unofficial classes. For our passionate followers his DOB is August 2nd 2015. Wes & I are now getting him ready for AWHA Colt Selection in March 2019. Oaks Volta is an approved AWHA stallion and we would love Cera Ducati to also be recognised with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association.
What a wonderful day for Team Joyce hopefully the beginning of many more…………with Cera Ducati stay tuned and please follow our journey 🙂
