So far so good

Team Joyce are very pleased with how our horses are going so far so good as they say! With only one more show before the Werribee Jeep Australian Showjumping Championships LH Johnny is performing well. The KWA Open 1.25m at Tonimbuk was a tight course in a medium sized outdoor sand arena and today he jumped clean in the Open 1.20m and 1.30m large grassed arena. We decided to give the 1.20m jump off a miss as it clashed with the 1.30m one and we really wanted to give him a nice easy go in that as this is what our sights have been set on. Tiffany rode super and the pair easily jumped the height with the distances also coming up nicely.

It was terrific to see LH Johnny and his mother LH Folly in the same class today and to have LH Beckham one of our previous Lals Haven Grand Prix Performance horses win the class just topped off a good day out for Team Joyce.

The discussion in the truck was a very positive one deciding on an increase in Barastoc Calm Performer over the coming week for Boneo only to reassess before the Champs the week after that. We fed LH Johnny a dose of Joint Rejuvenate tonight to make sure he does not jar up tomorrow. You would not expect him to being so young but horse management is very important and the little things all add up to keep them happy and sound.

Wes rode Oaks Volta in the Open 1m class , looking very relaxed with plenty of scope to go further. Team Joyce are driving to the TTT Skye Park Rugs Showjumping day tomorrow to meet and greet riders and walk jumping courses with the winners of the competition. Will be a nice day out.
