Pictures & videos from May

Kidding Season Begins This June – June marks the beginning of one of the most exciting and rewarding times of the year here at our Lals Haven Goat Stud — kidding season. We hope you enjoy the pictures and videos from May.

With many of our beautiful does due to kid over the coming weeks, preparations have been well underway to ensure both mothers and babies receive the very best care possible. From immaculate birthing suites to carefully monitored feeding programs, every detail has been thoughtfully planned in readiness for the arrival of our precious pygmy kids.

Our kidding areas have been thoroughly prepared with clean bedding, warming lights checked and ready, cameras tested and operating, and our medication and emergency supplies fully stocked and up to date. The does have also been separated into groups according to their due dates, allowing us to closely monitor each mother and provide the individual care and attention they deserve throughout the kidding process.

Nutrition plays a vital role during this important stage, and our feeding regime has been carefully adjusted to ensure all does are receiving the correct balance of vitamins, minerals, and quality feed. Our goal is simple — healthy kids and happy mothers.

We have also been in contact with our veterinarian to ensure all systems are in place should any emergencies arise. As all breeders know, not every birth goes perfectly, but we can confidently say we have done everything possible to provide the ultimate care for both does and kids during this special season.

To everyone who has contacted us and joined our waitlist — thank you. We truly appreciate your support, patience, and trust in our stud. We understand that circumstances can sometimes change, and when kidding season arrives, purchasing pygmy goats may no longer be the right timing for some families. Regardless, we are incredibly grateful that you considered our stud when searching for your forever perfect pygmy goat.

All of our pygmy kids will be:

  • Disbudded
  • Injected
  • Registered
  • Well handled and socialised before leaving for their new homes

We also have some exciting ultrasound videos and photos to share below and look forward to keeping everyone updated throughout the kidding season journey.

Thank you again for following along with us during this very exciting time. We cannot wait to introduce you to this season’s beautiful babies. Please follow our Facebook & Instagram socials for more pygmy goat love.

We finished the winter goat shed and the pygmys love it. We even have to shoo them out on nicer days. It is so rewarding when you have such happy animals.
