Have Team Joyce left our run to late in preparations for the Australian Showjumping Championships? Well time will tell of course plus the results over the coming shows will detail where we stand. Wes’s finger has healed well. He finds riding with thick woolen gloves help immensely. It has taken a solid two months and was a set back in the plans we had for Oaks Volta.

Australian Showjumping Championships in November
We will leave early October with three horses trekking to Bega, Mirrabooka & ACT Championships. It will be a real eye opener for our young stallion Cera Ducati & LH Vindiloo. With young horses the truck trip alone can take a lot out of them. They tend to stand quite firm relaxing over time. Being such a large horse we have moved the dividers to give him plenty of standing room which should make the trip more comfortable. Oaks Volta and Vindi will stand down the back.
Our goal for Oaks Volta is the Future Stars
Wes will try to prepare Volta for the Future Stars section at the ASJC. The specifications suit him well horses aged 6, 7 & 8 year old at the time of competition can participate. Handsome ( Cera Ducati ) will hopefully be ready for a smaller height Series Section. And we may take LH Veruca as Vindi will need a rest. Boneo Park is sure to attract loads of entries riders love going there because no matter what the weather brings you are guaranteed fabulous jumping surfaces in all arenas.

The Beast needed some repairs
While Wes was recovering the Beast needed a few things fixed up. Total new rewiring underneath becasue the thirty year old wires were burning out,new front wider tires plus the axle needed bending a there was no room for readjustment. Oh a new water pump’ & oil change she is all brand new again. Hopefully with all the km’s ahead of us she returns home safely.
