Team Joyce had a few days filled with mixed emotions many ups and downs. The Werribee Jeep Australian Showjumping Championships was a downer but the Dressage Championships at Wagga Wagga produced Freestyle Champions in Sarah and Albi.
Tiffany and LH Johnny fell over in the middle of the arena in the Open 1.20m with the surface just coming away under his hooves when turning left with now where to go but over! Thank goodness Tiffany was not hurt badly just a very sore neck and head ache after hitting her head quite hard on impact. You can see in the picture of the last jump the surface in front was very patchy , they both discussed trying to go around the spots but for Team Joyce it was not to be. The pair attempted the 7 year old Young Horse Talent Class the next day , warming up Johnny did not seem 100% and on course he looked tight and a little bit stiff with one rail down it was a good reason to load him up and take him home for a recovery rest. Shoes off and a short spell’ he is such a champion and deserves some tlc until we feel he is himself again. He shall have light work and will be put on the walker every second day.
Have a listen to the Barastoc Chat-ski’s

We received some very exciting news over the phone from Sarah while driving home from Werribee Sarah and LH Albert had a superb day out competing in the Open Novice classes in the morning placing 9th and 14th. But the accolades of winning the Freestyle Novice later that afternoon was the icing on the cake! At first just a text image of a results sheet and we saw her name at the top’ but I tried to hold back my excitement and made a phone call to ask’ Yes mum we won! Well yes I expressed my exhilaration ……..Wes Tiffany and I cheered and sang ‘ Champions ‘to Sarah over the phone. Congratulations Sarah a massive feat and all by yourself such an achievement.
Thanks again to Georgina and Bee for supporting Sarah , she talks very fondly of you both and says she could not have done it without your help and support during the past weeks.
